i've been in the world of warcraft battlegrounds on my lowbie hunter a lot lately.

it's just a game - but the hostility between players can become quite apparent as the /spit and /laugh emotes run rampant.

i play fair. i offer everyone a good fight and i don't use dirty tricks.

when i'm /spit upon and /laughed at - i can't help but feel disgust at the player that's on the other side of the computer screen.

and i don't see why the world is so hateful - even in these fantasy, online games. i /smile and /hug and /wave and am rarely given the same courtesy.

i'm not sure what i hoped to achieve with this piece. it is a piece of loss and regret - of wishful thinking.

maybe one day, people won't have to mourn the loss of those they love to senseless acts of violence.


this is a pretty small piece - done in my new, tiny 3.5"x5" sketchbook.
